KML Teen Programs

Looking forward to May, we have another Study With a Puppy session May 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Youth Center on Bridge Street. Teens grades 6-12 can come for pizza, study time, a bit of recreation and some pet therapy, thanks to Healers with Halos.

I have toted home a few books on spies for my husband which got me thinking. Many writers were spies – but were there librarian spies? I could only find three. Vasili Mitrokhin was a KGB librarian. For 10 years, from 1975 to 1985, he logged the names of KGB officers, their agents and informants.

Suffield Women’s Club News

The Suffield Woman’s Club (SWC) welcomed Lauren Perleoni from The Potting Shed on Remington Street to their gathering recently. Lauren led a make-and-take presentation on plants that can help cleanse the air in the home. Members put together a small potted arrangement to take home. The presentation was very informative and definitely fun. On May 14, SWC will hold its annual meeting and installation of officers at Seasons Restaurant at Suffield by the River.
