Gianna Guzzo, winner of the Observer’s $1,000 Samuel Spencer Fuller Scholarship, will be attending Boston College in the fall with a planned major in communications.
This is my second attempt at writing something about the outrage that has engulfed our nation in the wake of George Floyd’s killing at the hands of Minneapolis, Minn., police.
The COVID 19 Pandemic hit my business fast and hard. In the early stages of this virus, the media, health institutions, and appointed officials viewed this issue as just another ordinary virus.
The 2020 Dog license for renewal will be available now. Residents are encouraged to renew licenses online to support no contact/social distance requirements.
August 4 is the deadline for mail-in and on-line voter registrations and political party enrollments. Note that there is a three-month waiting period, when switching from one political party to another, before attaining voting privileges in the new political party.
I visited Sunrise Park three months after retiring as the park superintendent. I noticed that behind the house and barn, all the shrubs and bushes were removed. My first response was “WOW, how nice this looks.”
After recent difficult months, I am delighted to share great news! The Town Hall project will break ground in July, at a total cost of $5.116M.
