Sometimes we travel different and narrow paths in life only to come across someone from our own small hometown on the very same path.
Seeing the beautifully honed pieces of Vermont granite, etched with the names of Suffield’s veterans of the Global War on Terror and watching people feeling the broken surfaces of the new Veterans Memorial monuments made it worth every minute of effort for the past three years.
We want to thank all those who supported our Scholarship Fundraiser on September 28.
The summer months are generally quiet around the Post.
Our annual election and appointment for Post officers was held on April 18.
As we celebrate Memorial Day on May 31, we honor those who fought for our country.
April is election month for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. We will elect our Post officers and trustees for the coming year at our monthly meeting on April 18 at 6 p.m.
What does the VFW do? Though we are no longer wearing our nation’s uniform, we still have a mission.
