Autumn turned to winter, and while Omicron resulted in the cancellation of some of its regular dinner meetings, it soon became clear that the Suffield Rotary members were not willing to go into hibernation. To the contrary, its dedication to “service above self” resulted in two very busy winter months.

It is an axiom of journalism that the reporter should avoid becoming part of the story. But when your mission statement begins with “to build a sense of community throughout the town of Suffield” it makes for an easy decision to bypass that axiom and join in as a participant in the 350th Parade honoring Suffield.

As you likely know, The Suffield Observer (and its online counterpart) which is printed and distributed to everyone in town ten times a year, is produced almost entirely by local volunteers. Rotary Helps Bring Suffield and Guatemala Together

This past month the Suffield Rotary assisted the Suffield Players. Although the Players had to postpone their performance schedule, they could not postpone needed electrical improvements to historic Mapleton Hall.
