Drive by the West Suffield Congregational Church, UCC, and you will soon see signs of celebration. Actually they are banners, announcing that the church is celebrating 275 Years and All are welcome.
Gathered at the sign-in table are some of the 22 Suffield High School Honor Society Students who on Sunday, June 3, volunteered to pick up trash and litter at the Windsor Locks Canal Park and Trail.
Framed by lush greenery, this summer scene by the trail invites one to stop, reflect and enjoy.
Suffield Observer Chairman Jay Presser presents the newspaper’s scholarship award checks to 2018 winners: Marissa Guzzo, left, and Anna Mervosh, current graduates from Suffield High School.
Kaitlyn Nigro of West Suffield examines the West Suffield Congregational Church’s summer exhibit at the King House Museum celebrating the church’s 275th anniversary this year.
There is a man I communicate with called Rem, who is an Australian Aboriginal. He is known in an ancient native traditional manner, for what translates into English as “elder child.” He has a special gift for living and guiding others based on right and wrong. It’s a gift for knowing and seeing outcomes. He claims it’s NOT a special gift, that everyone innately has the power to see the future, but it requires being a “child,” and we don’t use it. Desire for self blocks it.
