Did you know that the Friends of the Farm at Hilltop lease and manage the Hilltop Open Space? That means that FOFAH pays rent to the Town of Suffield and is responsible for the care and maintenance of the property.
There’s nothing quite like fresh air and sunshine to get the staff at KML motivated! While our usual programming continues, we are sprinkling in a few new opportunities for kids and adults.
Please check the Town of Suffield website for actual time and location (virtual, Zoom, etc.) of the following commission and committee meetings
Adam Rearick (on the right), a 1997 SHS graduate, just retired as a Major from the Air Force after 22 years of service. This photo was taken on Adam’s LFA (Last Field Alert) as a Minuteman III Nuclear Launch Officer at Malmstrom Air Force Base Montana Echo Launch Control Facility in the 10th Missile Squadron.
Suffield Rotarians are inherently social creatures and enjoy meeting regularly to break bread with their colleagues. We initially learned that 2020 would be a much different type of year in mid-March 2020, when we were notified that all visitors were banned from entering Suffield by the River, where we were holding our dinner meetings at the time.
The Suffield Observer will sponsor two scholarships to Suffield residents who will be entering an accredited two-or four-year college in September. The scholarships honor Samuel S. Fuller, founder of the paper, and Robert O. Y. Warren, a former Chairman of the Board.
Our volunteers are amazing! During these past cold and dreary months, FOFAH volunteer and amateur historian Tony Peterson has led the project to upgrade the FOFAH website.
