Calling all High School Students. This Holiday season let’s bring a smile to a senior citizen’s face.

As election officials arrived at the polls shortly after 5 a.m. on Election Day, they found voters arriving and lining up outside the polling place. By 6 a.m., when the polls opened, there were long lines of people waiting.
The alpaca farm was hidden for eight years, and now it is finally open until Christmas. It is open Wednesdays – Sundays, 12 – 4 p.m.
The honor roll which has stood on the green in the center of the town was taken down this week, as the names of those in the service from this town are all on the new bronze tablets on the town building. The taking away of the honor roll takes away the only shelter from the winter winds for trolley patrons, and micrococcus lanceolatus, the pneumonia bug, is arranging for a carnival of its fellows for the next few months.
As our calendars turn to the final page of 2020, I would like to offer a synopsis of the Parks and Recreation programs and activities during this unique year. We have become familiar with the challenges faced by private and public organizations in performing their traditional functions, and this context is important as one considers the programming offered to our citizens during this period.
In the Observer’s November issue update on the Town Hall renovation project, our reporter referred to the suggestion of a garden planter between the segments of the planned new handicapped accessibility ramp to be added, and described the planter as a proposal of the Suffield Garden Club. The club advises that the planter was not proposed by them.
Despite some obstacles – including the current COVID-19 epidemic – the Suffield Middle School program continues to flourish as one of the strongest academic program the school offers its approximately 450 students on an annual basis.
