Ronald Corriveau from Sacred Heart Parish has received the 2020 Archdiocese Medal of Appreciation. Ronald was chosen for this honor in appreciation for his dedicated service as a parish usher for 62 years and as parish Plant Manager for ten years.

First Church Responds to Pandemic

First Church of Christ Congregational in Suffield has chosen in this unprecedented time to live by the motto, “We Are Still The Church.” First Church is not worshipping within the walls of our beautiful building on High Street but continues to worship remotely online.

Surprise Auction Announced

Residents were surprised Saturday morning, August 15, to discover this big sign freshly mounted at the driveway of St. Joseph Church, announcing the online auction in five days of the contents of the rectory and the convent.

Churches to Share Online Services

The Second Baptist Church, First Congregational Church and West Suffield Congregational Church all suspend services in August each year and the members are invited to the historic First Baptist Church on Hastings Hill.

Sacred Heart Resumes Weekend Masses

On July 4 and 5, Sacred Heart resumed weekend Masses on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8, 9:30, and 11 a.m. Baptisms and funerals can also be scheduled.

An Outdoor Mass for Memorial Day

Father Mark Jette’s voice carried well, unamplified, for the Memorial Day service he offered at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, on Hill Street. About three dozen folks attended, many bringing folding chairs.
