It is with sadness but concern for the well-being of the local community that the West Suffield Congregational Church has decided not to host a breakfast after the Suffield Easter Sunday Sunrise Service this Easter April 12.
The following events are happening in March at First Church of Christ, Congregational, an Open and Affirming Church of the United Church of Christ. Worship is held every Sunday at 10 a.m. All are welcome! First Church is currently under renovation. Access and location of events are subject to change. Please call 860-668-7223 and leave a voicemail with any questions, concerns, or to RSVP for an event.
Sacred Heart Church will hold a St. Patrick’s Celebration featuring the Irish and Celtic duo Ringrose and Freeman, on Saturday, March 21 from 6 – 9:30 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
The Green Team of the Second Baptist Church in collaboration with the Kent Memorial Library and Sierra Club Connecticut will present the movie Paris to Pittsburgh on Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m. in the Common Room of the Second Baptist Church.
Guest preacher at this year’s Martin Luther, Jr., Day observance January 19 at Third Baptist Church was the Rev. Dr. Jeff Powell, of the New Antioch Baptist Church in Hartford, shown above in Suffield. The service was wonderfully musical and moving, and Dr. Powell delivered a powerful message.
What is the ultimate team “sport”? A handbell choir! You’ll be forgiven if that answer did not spring immediately to mind. Actually, in England, handbell choirs are known as handbell teams. Imagine a piano played by ten different people where each person plays two to four keys. Replace the keys with a set of bells and you’ve got a handbell choir.

The Second Baptist Church of Suffield is pleased to announce its Annual Community Christmas Concert. This annual event will take place Saturday, December 14, at 3 p.m. at the church at 100 N. Main Street – so plan to come for some fantastic music and a great time with your neighbors!
