On Sunday, February 10, the Second Baptist Church received a “Green House of Worship” award from the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network (IREJN) as a Level Two Green Congregation. Second Baptist has been encouraging its members and others to be more consciously aware of our life choices and the positive and negative effects these have on the human and other-than-human world.
The Music on High community music program is excited to present Calliope Brass and their special children’s program, What’s Your Story? (WYS), on Sunday, February 10, 2 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Suffield.
A benefit concert to support Dr. Peter Coombs’ mission to Haiti will take place at Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, February 17 at 4 p.m. Dr. Coombs travels to Haiti each year to provide dental services to people who otherwise have no dental care and live mainly in poor rural areas. The concert will feature baritone Cleveland Williams, soprano Margaret Beers and pianist Stacy Cahoon.
February 4,11,18,25 – Qi Gong Class, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Chapel, $10 per class- an exercise system similar to Tai Chi. February 6,13,20,27 – Bible Study, 10 a.m., Ebenezer Gay Room, Christianity & World Religions $11 for the book.
The Second Baptist Church of Suffield is pleased to announce the fifteenth Annual Community Christmas Concert. This annual event will take place Saturday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the church at 100 N. Main Street.
The annual community service honoring Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. is planned for January 20 at 4 p.m. at Third Baptist Church.
The Second Baptist Church will celebrate the season of Advent and Christmas with events and services. Everyone is invited.

Jews all over the world will celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, which begins this year on Sunday, December 2 at sundown and ends Monday, December 10 at sundown. This holiday is a celebration of freedom and is very much a family holiday.
