Democratic Candidate Forum

Democratic Town Committees from Suffield, Bloomfield, Windsor and Windsor Locks have joined forces to hold state office candidate forums this spring. Suffield will host the forum for the ten (or more) Democratic candidates for governor on Thursday, April 5 at 7p.m. in the auditorium at Suffield Middle School, 350 Mountain Road, Suffield.

Suffield Police Rescue Another Quarry Climber

On February 27, at approximately 4:48 p.m., the Suffield Police Department received an emergency 9-1-1 call regarding a person who had fallen off a rock formation in the Suffield Quarry located on Quarry Road at Phelps Road. This area is located in West Suffield near the Granby town line.

Senior Center News

Parkinson’s Peer Support Group meets monthly on the third Monday of each month at 10:15 a.m. The group’s goal is to share ideas and resources in the management and treatment of Parkinson’s. Caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Update on Road Projects for 2018

During 2016 and 2017 most of the $9 million of bond funding appropriated at the end of 2015 was utilized for 39 miles of road improvements as follows: 9.5 miles of pavement overlays; 26.4 miles milled and paved; and 3.1 miles reclaimed and paved with drainage improvements.
