It was a busy week preparing for the annual Fall Rummage Sale at WSCC this past September when a couple walked into the church hall inquiring about the church.
About ten years ago, I hung out with a great guy named Mark. He always had my back and was quick to help out in a bind.
The mission of the Suffield Local Prevention Council (SLPC) is to have members of the Suffield community, who have the shared goal of increasing substance abuse awareness, working together to provide information on prevention and available help resources while supporting a stigma free vision of addiction as an illness.
November marks my one-year anniversary as First Selectman. I truly enjoy working for the Town of Suffield, especially getting to know so many residents and business leaders.
The public is encouraged to attend these commission meetings.
The Suffield Winter Farmer’s Market is back for its third year, making local produce and craft items available for the holidays and into January and February.
An application to the State by Suffield’s Economic Development office has resulted in an award of up to $500,000 for funding under the Main Street Investment Fund.
Evonne Klein, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Housing, visited Suffield with a small entourage on September 27 to view the improvements recently completed at the town’s public housing – the 70 apartment units comprising Maple Court, Laurel Court and Broder Place.
