As shared in previous Observer submissions, it is my intention to narrow the focus of my articles to make them shorter and more reader friendly.
Since 1998, the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) has been recognizing local boards of education with Board of Education Leadership Award for their efforts to further enhance educational programs and opportunities within public schools across the State of Connecticut.
Connecticut’s Kid Governor program is a part of a larger national program that teaches 5th grade students about civics and government.
As I write this submission, we are three weeks away from our first day of school, and the excitement is building.
As the 2022-2023 school year comes to an end, I would like to say thank you to the community for your continued support of the Suffield Public Schools.
The month of February brought with it many celebrations to our schools.
The Suffield Board of Education has been recognized by the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) with this year’s CABE Board Leadership Award.
The Suffield Board of Education establishes a set of annual goals that serve to guide our district in a myriad of ways. Multi-year strategic planning, annual advancement plans, school-based priorities, budgeting, and resource allocation are all significantly influenced by the BOE Goals, and we look forward to the direction and guidance they provide.
Less is more will be my theme for my Suffield Observer submissions over the course of the 2022-2023 school year.
It is hard to believe that the end to our 2021-2022 school year is already upon us. Fortunately, our school district was afforded the opportunity to experience a school year with far greater consistency than we were anticipating.
