Winterfest 2020 and the “Tunnel of Lights” began Friday, November 27. Winterfest will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from November 27 through December 20.

As our calendars turn to the final page of 2020, I would like to offer a synopsis of the Parks and Recreation programs and activities during this unique year. We have become familiar with the challenges faced by private and public organizations in performing their traditional functions, and this context is important as one considers the programming offered to our citizens during this period.
Isolation, sadness, depression, anxiety, despair, anger, boredom, agoraphobia, paranoia, thoughts of suicide, increased drinking or substance use: do any of these hit home for you or someone close to you? Whether you are five or 95, it is almost impossible to have avoided many of these feelings or behaviors over the past nine months.
