Sunrise Park is a 134 acre gem located in West Suffield, CT. This nature preserve was purchased in 1966 by the people of Suffield partially through fund raising in a town wide donation process.
Suffield’s traditional remembrance ceremony for the country’s 9/11 tragedy took place on Saturday, September 10, with a brief parade heading out of the 230 Mountain Road driveway at 9:15 a.m.
Promotions in recent months at the Suffield Police Department left some gaps in the department’s management structure, and one key position has now been filled by a newly hired captain.
The Assessor’s Office is located in the Town Hall, 83 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT and is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is handicap accessible.
The public is encouraged to attend these commission meetings.
Earlier this year the Town had an estimate done by ATC, an environmental firm, for abatement of Bridge Street School (BSS).
The Suffield Parks & Recreation Department, Kent Memorial Library, Suffield Senior Center & Mini Bus, and Suffield Youth Services have collaborated on this town-wide Halloween harvest themed event which will be held at the Senior Center on Saturday, October 22.
