Volunteer AARP IRS-certified tax counselors will be available at the Senior Center during the tax season to provide free basic tax assistance and electronic tax preparation services. Changes to the procedures have been made to make this a safe and rewarding experience for all.
On February 13, the Friends of Suffield assembled at Highland Park Market parking lot. They purchased meals and cookies and assembled bags to be delivered to Suffield seniors who had registered in advance for a free meal delivery.
I have received four calls regarding this scam, two in the middle of the night. They said I had won a sweepstakes and I should give them the routing number of my bank account so they could deposit the money.
