The P. and P. No doubt you hear more than enough about Politics and the Pandemic, but I would like to add a little more.

This morning I was sitting in the doctor’s office waiting to have my blood drawn. I was mentally making a list of things to ask the doctor about when I thought “This is boring; why don’t you put it in verse.”
I’m writing in response to The First Selectman’s Update in the December 2020 – January 2021 edition, concerning the status of the Bridge Street School (BSS). To the thousands of children who had attended it throughout 80 years, there is a very meaningful lesson that was presented to students one generation after the next.
The telecommunications industry has plans to blanket the entire nation with small cell antennas. This means small cell antennas in our neighborhoods every 300 feet.
2020 has certainly been a stressful year in all our lives, and the last few months particularly so. Dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, along with a hotly conducted and somewhat uncivilized presidential election, has added to the strain.
I’m going through this thing now where people are contacting me, asking what is going on with Bridge Street School. I can answer questions because I’ve documented its history for 20 years.
As we look to find joy or silver linings throughout this Covid-19 pandemic, our family has been blessed with another special blessing: grandparents with knowledge, wisdom, fun and love to give.
Here in this time of Covid-19, with all its limitations and boundaries, there are some relationships that have come to be more important than ever. If you are a pet owner, you know what I mean.
