Suffield Land Conservancy Update

Suffield Land Conservancy’s Annual Spring Programs are a wonderful opportunity to connect with the outdoors, discover wildflowers, explore the forests, and uncover different species of birds that are right in your very own backyards. Open to the public, please join us for each of these outdoor adventures with your friends and family members.

SWC Scholarship Available

The Suffield Woman’s Club (SWC) is accepting applications for the Thea Coburn Scholarship. The applicant should be a resident of Suffield or a graduate of the Agri-Science Center in Suffield and must have completed at least one year of higher education.

WSVIA TAG SALE

The West Suffield Village Improvement Association will hold its annual tag sale Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Academy Hall, 1499 Mountain Road. Donations may be dropped off the mornings of March 28, April 2 and 3.

Academy Hall Open for Rental

Following the annual tag sale on April 4, the West Suffield Village Improvement Association will open Academy Hall for rental as usual. The Hall can accommodate small groups of up to 50 in our downstairs space or larger groups up to 100 upstairs.

SGC Plans Arbor Day

The Suffield Garden Club will once again continue the tradition of giving each fourth grade student a young tree to plant. The Arbor Day Program will take place Friday, April 24 at McAlister School where students will showcase their knowledge of trees with poems, songs and recitations.

PMC Kids Ride Coming

A few weeks ago Suffield’s intrepid PMC rider Chris Nikolis was delighted to adjust his report on last year’s Kids Ride up a few thousand as final returns came in, bringing Suffield’s eight-year total to $317,000!
