The Suffield Auxiliary of the Village for Families and Children will be holding a designer purse bingo fundraiser on October 12 at the American Legion, 566 Enfield St., Enfield. The public is welcome.
Twenty-three Rotary Clubs in Northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts (Rotary District 7890) have joined together to fund a project that will bring fresh drinking water and sanitation facilities to three needy communities in Guatemala. Suffield Rotary Club contributed $1,000 to this endeavor.
The Rotary Club of Suffield awarded two Paul Harris Fellowships at the Club’s June meeting, held at the Seasons restaurant at Suffield by the River. Past recipients of the award and other guests were present.
Celebrate fall at the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden! Start getting into the “spirit” of Halloween early as Suffield on the Green weekend kicks-off with a Lantern Tour of the Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden on Friday, September 7th from 7 to 8:30 pm.
The New England Air Museum will host its 2nd annual JETS & VETTES Car Show on Sunday September 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show’s special theme is Chevrolet Corvettes through the Years, and awards will be presented to the Best in Show and Best Vintage.
The Rays of Hope Walk and Run toward the Cure of Breast Cancer will celebrate 25 years on October 21. Dr. Grace Makari-Judson of Suffield serves Rays of Hope as co- director with D. Joseph Jerry, UMass professor and scientist at the Pioneer Valley Life Sciences Institute.
“Renewing, refreshing, and better connecting Suffield residents to our services”: these are the words of Janet Frechette, Executive Director of the newly renamed Suffield Community Aid (SCA). The new name and logo you will see is: Suffield Community Aid, Your Local Safety Net.
