At the newly reopened shop on Mapleton Avenue at Thompsonville Road, Proprietor Krupa Patel waits as a customer enters his credit card for five liters of Chardonnay. The shop’s new proprietor offers an extraordinary inventory of craft beers and fine wines along with a wide variety of distilled spirits. Incidentally, her given name, which in Suffield is familiar as a Polish family name, is a well-known first name in India meaning God’s grace, love, and compassion.
Suffield’s Permanent Building Commission has a lot on its plate these days.

Suffield on the Green kicked off fall with residents and energetic town employees contributing to its success.

The Assessor’s Office is located in the Town Hall, 83 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT and is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is handicap accessible.

It seems to me that Andy Sauer’s typically perceptive Suffield Observations column suffered in September from a lack of familiarity with what really happens on the Suffield Town Green.
I read with great interest the “Observations” by Andy Sauer concerning our town green.
Sometimes in life we are encouraged to leave our comfort zone and try something new. Such was the case when we were asked to serve on the Board of Directors for The Suffield Observer.
What happened in the Middle School auditorium first thing Monday morning, September 12, was quite extraordinary!
On November 6 from 1 to 5 p.m. the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association will host an open house at the Zak Ambulance Center to celebrate our 40 years of service to the residents of Suffield. We invite past, present and future members and more importantly our community to help us celebrate 40 years of volunteer service to the Town of Suffield.
Sunrise Park is a 134 acre gem located in West Suffield, CT. This nature preserve was purchased in 1966 by the people of Suffield partially through fund raising in a town wide donation process.
