Can anyone explain to me what societal phenomenon is occurring which causes many to throw their junk out their car windows?
A message from Suffield’s Water Pollution Control Authority Superintendent.
When she was young, Rachel Davis, now a sophomore criminology major and exuberant young woman, observed the cadet training that her 14-year-old brother underwent at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor Locks.
In the minds of many Suffield residents, sewage from their homes is simply piped to the sewage treatment plant where it is passed through some filters and then discharged into the Connecticut River. But like most things in life, nothing is ever that simple.
The plastic-free movement is being adopted by a number of cities and areas around the world, joining others in the plastic-free movement.
The Myths: We don’t need to worry about plastics because they get recycled.
Recycled plastics are melted down and reused for new items.
Long-time Suffield residents, Warren Packard and Blair Childs, are two of many who volunteered their time and experience to the betterment of the town. They have so much in common: devotion to family, determination to help this town in any way possible, lots of energy, intelligence and integrity.
