Last month I put out a question: “Are you reading this?” Someone answered, and he was not happy.
Sad news to begin this month’s column. Warren Packard, former First Selectman from 1993 to 1995, passed away on January 31. He will be remembered for his community activism and positive impact on Suffield.

It’s not always clear to me if folks in town read this column. Occasionally I’ll get a comment or two, but a lot of times, especially lately, I won’t hear a peep.
