Summer is finally here and in full swing! I’ve been hearing about lots of wonderful places and events residents are planning to enjoy.

Forty years ago, my mother was doing her best to persevere from an acrimonious divorce. She packed everything she owned and her kids, and steered her lifeboat to the nearest island that could support life.

They say that interesting people have interests. This has played out in my life by passing acquaintance with two people I admired because of their immersion in their own interests.
This year’s spring was highlighted by a notable chill in the air. I have wondered if the budget news from Hartford is to blame.
