The Suffield Historical Society will hold its annual Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, August 17, from 5:30-7 p.m. We look forward to seeing friends and neighbors once again after the year’s hiatus!
The Suffield Land Conservancy (SLC) is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and to celebrate, they are establishing a 23-acre outdoor learning center directly across from the Suffield High School (SHS). A principal mission of the SLC is to educate the community about our natural surroundings and the impact of nature on the health of our planet.
Troop 66 has been active over the past few months. We went canoeing on the Farmington River and camping at Camp Workcoeman.
Boy Scouts of America’s motto is “Be Prepared.” In this photo Troop 260 is preparing for a trip down the Allagash River in northern Maine by practicing whitewater canoeing on the Farmington River during a weekend in May.
The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop have a long history of partnership with the boy scout programs in Suffield, and Hilltop Farm was the place that Jack Fitzgerald chose to do his Eagle Scout project.
1993 was a very good year. Anita Wardell and Agnes Schulte, who both joined the Suffield Garden Club that year, were recognized for their outstanding commitment and awarded Lifetime Membership in the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut at this year’s annual meeting.
A Taste of Bluegrass is a special one-day show presented by Podunk at Hilltop Farm, site of the of the Former Paddle Faster Bluegrass Festival. The farm is located at 1616 Mapleton Ave., route 159, in Suffield, Conn.
The Friends of the Farm at Hilltop are very excited about our “Monster” Tag Sale & Flea Market coming up on June 12. It’s going to great to welcome visitors to Hilltop again!
