Second Chance Shop Raises $70,000

Despite a pandemic-driven multi-month shutdown of their Second Chance Shop, the Suffield Auxiliary stayed engaged, upheld a safe retail environment, reopened in the fall and managed to raise $70,000.

Suffield on the Green Continues

Most of us who live in Suffield have warm memories of one of our favorite traditions, the annual production of Suffield on the Green. The word “production” is an apt designation. The event consumes innumerable hours, immeasurable energy and a wide range of skills from a large number of volunteers in our community. Not only do residents of Suffield support the effort, but many out-of-towners come as well. The appeal of our scenic Main Street, the display of small-town activity and the draw of a number of vendors – all of these contribute to the success of the day.

WSVA Tag Sale

The West Suffield Village Improvement Association will hold its annual tag sale on Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Academy Hall (1499 Mountain Road).

Outstanding Members Recognized

1993 was a very good year. Anita Wardell and Agnes Schulte, who both joined the Suffield Garden Club that year, were recognized for their outstanding commitment and awarded Lifetime Membership in the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut at this year’s annual meeting.
