West Suffield Boy Scout Troop 66 helps the Suffield Garden Club (SGC) to continue to maintain the 109 dogwoods lining Main Street. Additional help by anyone interested is appreciated by the SGC.
We are collecting NEW items only for the “Return-to-School Backpack Program” to assist qualified school-age children in Suffield.
FOFAH is very pleased to announce that it has met an important milestone this May. We are now moving much closer to opening the Big White Barn to the public for programs and events.
Again, this summer, children and families will have the opportunity to learn about nature. Children will spend time outdoors, discover the natural world, meet new friends, and have fun!
The Suffield Observer’s two $1,000 scholarships, one in memory of Sam Fuller, the Observer’s founder, and one in memory Bob Warren, a former chairman of the paper, were recently awarded to two exceptional young people.
The Suffield Rotary is pleased to announce the following recipients of the 2021 scholarships of $1,000 each. Each of these students represented the Rotary International motto of “Service Above Self.”
With what looks like some normalcy for the summer, more people will be traveling to places other than the grocery store and the doctor’s office. It’s time to pack your Observer and take a picture highlighting the places you’ve been and share them with our readers.
Books in the Parlor is a book group which focuses on history. We read mostly non-fiction and occasional fiction books which relate to the history of Connecticut.
