In May 1937, Florence Egan and her Bridge Street School classmates marveled at the Hindenburg dirigible when it flew over Suffield on its fateful voyage to Lakehurst, New Jersey, where it burst into flames. “It was so close, we felt we could touch it.”
A plume of sawdust shoots out of the chainsaw’s cut as Rick Sotil, Jr., up in the bucket, saws another big limb. On the crane truck, Rick, Sr. controls the cable suspending the limb so it won’t fall and damage the King House Museum.

No matter what time of day you pay a visit to the McGrath house in Ballyragget, County Kilkenny, Ireland, you will be greeted with a cup of tea and a slice of warm Irish Brown Bread. At breakfast one morning Kathleen, as she is locally called, explained that the bread was easily made, and proceeded to make a fresh loaf before I had finished my coffee.
