On April 21, the Observer volunteers gathered at Oak Ridge Country Club to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the paper. Jay Presser, emcee, welcomed everyone and recognized the four volunteers who were at the first group photo 25 years ago: Lester Smith, Carol Martin, Sally Peters and Eileen Moncrief.
Our 25th anniversary year is over. We hope you enjoyed our “trip down memory lane” with the Observer.
Some Observer volunteers celebrated Carol Martin’s 90th birthday on April 12th.
After a very successful art sale of Peggy’s original watercolor paintings, there are still some remaining (framed and unframed) at reduced prices.
Although the exhibit at the KML Gallery is over, you still have an opportunity to purchase one of the remaining paintings at the All Things Suffield booth at Suffield on the Green.
We are excited to announce a special art exhibit at Kent Memorial Library of Peggy MacKinnon’s oil paintings. It is scheduled for the month of August in the gallery at the library.
A few years ago, Hallmark Productions chose Suffield as a unique town in which to film a movie.
