For the past year, the 350th Anniversary Committee has been compiling a book of histories from Suffield’s past 50 years. Over 100 submissions from Suffield citizens are included in the 360+ page book, divided into six chapters – Town History, Farms, Community Services and Resources, Churches, Education and Memories.

The big parade celebrating Suffield’s 350th Birthday is less than eight months away! Entry forms for the October 10 parade are available on both the 350th Anniversary’s website and Facebook page.

Vintage Car Show
A children’s parade, with entries like the ones pictured above and below, will highlight the start of the 350th anniversary parade this fall on October 10.
All bicycles, training wheels, tricycles, big wheels, wagons, strollers and wheelchairs can participate. You can use a cargo bike if your children are too young to ride.
At the New England Air Museum on November 22, over 200 partyers tasted wines and beers and sampled victuals from six breweries, six restaurants, and two liquor stores. And the NEAM’s military hangar was a successful venue for such a party.
As part of Suffield’s 350th Anniversary Celebration, the Kent Memorial Library sponsored an essay contest. The theme of the essay was Suffield: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.
