InDesigners Needed at the Observer

The Suffield Observer is looking for volunteers to work with InDesign (computer layout program). Having some computer skills is preferred, and training is available for anyone interested.

What’s happening at SCA this Month?

Staff has been working inside our locked door since the pandemic began. We have used the time to familiarize ourselves with programs and resources to help our residents who have been impacted by Covid-19.

A Truly Memorable Season

It wasn’t the Suffield Little League (SLL) season anticipated by many, but it came together as one most will never forget. For Suffield LL, its Board, volunteers and families, that likely meant no season at Christian Field for the first time since games started there in 1956.

A Very Different SVAA Awards Ceremony

As was the case with most everything during this pandemic, the annual Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association Awards Ceremony was, well, vastly different. But after changes and multiple delays caused by virus, the SVAA persevered and on August 29 was able to honor many of its extraordinary volunteers who, despite the risks, continued to serve when most needed.

SVAA Membership Meeting

The Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association held its Annual Membership Meeting on September 14. The meeting is open to all members and provides an opportunity for an update on the year, plans for the future, and the election of Board Members for the upcoming year.

Friends of Suffield Canine Contest Winners

The Friends of Suffield held their 19th Annual Canine Contest on September 12, but this time we had to do it virtually. We wish to thank Suffield Veterinary Hospital and Creative Clips for their donations of prizes to make this event possible.
