Tiffany Tan, a junior at Suffield High School, has been selected to be one of only two high school student judges from all of Connecticut to be a member of the prestigious Nutmeg Award Selection Committee.
Suffield High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for November, Julianna is a senior and a member of our National Honor and World Language Honor Society, and is the president of both societies. She was also the World Language Student of the Month in her sophomore year.
Suffield High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for December, Chris is a member of the Class of 2021. He has been on SHS’s indoor and outdoor track team throughout his high school years.
Suffield High School’s Rotary Student of the Month for January, Sydney is an Honors student and is a senior enrolled in our Suffield Regional Agriscience Program at Suffield High School.
In the October issue of the Observer, I wrote that Brittani Burke, a June graduate of the Suffield Agriscience program, had won two awards. Now she has won a third award, the prestigious Eastern Regional Star Farmer Award, which represents an area from Maine to West Virginia.

One component of the Vo-Ag program at Suffield High School is strong encouragement for projects that will benefit the community. Some of these are environmental, some are more relationship oriented.
The Superintendent’s FY22 Budget Recommendation was presented to the Suffield Board of Education at the December 7 meeting. The proposed budget of $36,887,270 is a net increase of $986,248 over this year’s current budget of $35,901,023.
