I just experienced my first Suffield on the Green volunteering both days at ABAR Suffield’s booth.
Kent Memorial Library made the transition from summer to back to school and into the fall season last month. Adult services held another great reading challenge with the theme of Overlooked & Underrated Titles and began a morning walking program that moves on through the end of October. Find more information at suffield-library.org. More adult programming in October includes Halloween fun as well as Books & Beyond with Alka Joshi and her new novel The Secret Keeper of Jaipur. In November, keep an eye out for some fun celebrations like Diwali!

This past Thursday, September 9, the Suffield Regional Agriscience Program at Suffield High School held its annual FFA Welcome Back Picnic.
Jake Hopkins bravely traverses Troop 260’s annual rope bridge at SOTG. Troop 260 is a high adventure Scout group providing outdoor opportunities including caving excursions, scuba trips, canoeing adventures, urban navigation trips, hiking, camping and lots more, for boys and now girls (Troop 262) in Suffield.
Kate Sweeney, who works at Spaulding School as a Literary/Reading Specialist is the 2021-2022 Suffield Teacher of the Year (TOY).
The 2021-2022 school year has officially begun, and it is wonderful to see our students, families, faculty, staff and partners in education returning to each of our schools.
It was a joy for the Friends of Kent Memorial Library to bring back our annual book sale on September 10-12, after COVID-19 concerns caused us to cancel last year’s sale.
