This year’s Suffield on the Green had the feel of a typical fall weekend, however there was some rain on both Saturday and Sunday that closed the SOTG early at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, although, the sun did eventually come out on Sunday. The crowds, crafters, musicians, local charities and food booths were resilient!!!
It was a bit of a surprise several months ago when a neighbor at what was once called “Dunn’s Corner” saw some activity at the long abandoned gas station there.
The Suffield Woman’s Club delivered meals to the Suffield Police Department in August in appreciation for their service.

As the days get shorter and cooler, there are more opportunities to be comfortably outside if you’re a fall lover like me, who’s ready to be done with the heat and enjoy a good hike in the crisp fall weather right here in town.
Although our “Big Weekend” won’t take place until October, 2021, Suffield will still have a wonderful birthday party in October of this year!!!!
Suffield’s town green waves proudly with 350 commemorative flags honoring the memory and dedication of those who have served and are serving our country and community.
We’re expecting an amazing firework show on Saturday night! To maintain social distancing, fireworks display company Pyrotechnico, recommended that the show be designed entirely around six-inch shells that are designed to explode 600 feet in the air.
It’s not the big parade we had been looking forward to, but we can still have fun while maintaining a social distance!
