Staff has been working inside our locked door since the pandemic began. We have used the time to familiarize ourselves with programs and resources to help our residents who have been impacted by COVID-19.
Major progress has been made on the bridge construction, and completion by the end of October is still expected.
Project contractor Gilbane’s schedule for the Town Hall listed “Mobilize on Site” for July 6, and in fact there was a bit of activity, with a few cars on site that day.
The bar maid strides back for a refill at the Broad Brook Brewery on South Street, which opened its tap room to the public for the first time on June 26.
From a need to respond to the current crisis of racism and police brutality against Black people in America, a new social justice group now known as ABAR Suffield has emerged.
Suffield’s Farmers Market is now in full swing. Vendors and customers have been social distancing and enhanced sanitation procedures have been in effect and everyone has been wearing masks.
The First National Bank’s excellent model of its original building is pulled down Mountain Road in front of the official reviewing stand for the big parade celebrating Suffield’s Tercentenary Anniversary on October 12, 1970.
