I am relieved and delighted to announce that Kent Memorial Library will reopen its doors in June. This project proved to be my most challenging inheritance to date as First Selectman.

I am relieved and delighted to announce that Kent Memorial Library will reopen its doors in June. This project proved to be my most challenging inheritance to date as First Selectman.
Suffield travelers turn their backs on the view of Lake Garda and the looming Dolomite Mountains in northern Italy for their portrait with The Suffield Observer.
It was a luxury car, red, and had New York plates. It pulled up to me, and a couple – maybe in their mid-60s – were looking for the movie theater. They had lived in town years ago, and had come up from New York City to see what’s become of the place.
Hearty, heartfelt thanks, Observer, for your March page 1 surprise. How grand the honor!
The month of March may have come in like a lamb weather-wise, but for Town business it’s been more like a lion! As outlined in my last two columns, there’s been a simultaneous focus on Kent Memorial Library, economic development of Ffyler Place/ the Town Garage/ Town Center Village District and Town Hall.

The largest carnival parade in Aruba is the Grand Parade through Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, the Dutch Island in the Caribbean close to the coast of Venezuela.
There was this place in my hometown of Monroe, N.Y., that one summer was the rage among the “in-crowd.” By “place,” I mean an outdoor bar in the middle of a dusty parking lot, and by “in-crowd,” I mean the stereotypical popular types.
