Library Update

At this writing the library renovation and addition project, which has been concentrating on PCB remediation for many months, has not been discussed by the Permanent Building Commission since May 4, and that discussion was brief.

Auto Racing Exhibit

The Suffield Arts Council will host an exhibit of photographs featuring race cars, drivers, and action shots by Pat Thomas of West Suffield and friend David Hughes.

“Miss Wendy,” Kent Memorial Library’s children’s librarian, is trying to persuade 15-month-old Katerina Taylor to blow a soap bubble, but Katerina seems more interested in eating the bubble wand.

Kent Memorial Library Project Update

The 2017-2018 Town budget approved on May 10 with little opposition by a very small fraction of the eligible voters (about two percent) included $408,000 in “Capital Expenditures” for the library.

Library Project Update, Plans Coalesce

Suffield’s Permanent Building Commission regularly meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month, but they added a special meeting on April 12 to hear consultant Robert May describe the plans now beginning to take shape for remediating the PCB contamination at Kent Memorial Library.
