Heartfelt Thanks
I would like to thank the Mountain Rd. Dunkin Donuts and the people of Suffield for their generosity during the VFW Post 9544 Poppy Drive.
In New England towns the seasons are usually clearly defined, almost delineated, even when one seems to flow easily into another. This year has been an anomaly; summer seemed to go on forever.

The Suffield Garden Club will present “Then & Now: The Importance and Relevance of Frederic Law Olmsted” by Leslie Martino at 6:30 p.m. on November 7 at the Kent Memorial Library. Martino, a landscape designer and historian, will help us celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, considered the father of American landscape architecture. Olmsted’s designs provided an opportunity for people to interact with nature as well as other people. He understood the impact a designed green space had on people’s social, mental and physical health when he began designing public parks. The Garden Club is especially pleased to present this program as they work with landscape architects to create a plan for the Suffield Tree Committee to use as it works to rebuild the tree canopy of the Town Greens and along Suffield’s designated scenic highway.
Hello November! Please keep an eye out for a Senior Center survey coming soon.
You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to Suffield! Once again, this Christmas season, the Suffield Knights of Columbus and Friends will escort Santa to visit the great little girls and boys of Suffield. While his reindeer graze in one of our town’s beautiful fields, Santa will visit homes for 15 minutes of fun and caroling. Be sure to have your camera(s) ready! The North Pole has confirmed that Santa will be visiting Suffield during the first and third weekends of December, from December 2 to 4 and December 16 to 18.
