This year’s Suffield on the Green had the feel of a typical fall weekend, however there was some rain on both Saturday and Sunday that closed the SOTG early at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, although, the sun did eventually come out on Sunday. The crowds, crafters, musicians, local charities and food booths were resilient!!!
On June 3, the Friends of Suffield distributed its 2021 grants during a ceremony on the town green. This year, eight grant recipients were awarded a little over $4,000 worth of financial support.

Kent Memorial Library thrived this summer as our reading programs, contests and events brought in a record number of participants in many areas.
The Friends of KML book sale will be held again at Sacred Heart Church’s Father Ted Hall on the weekend of September 10 – 12.
There will be no Friends of KML book collection in September. We use this time to prepare for our annual book sale.
A Hallmark movie production crew came to town for several days in July to shoot scenes at a selected location. Most of the action took place inside the Delvecchio house.
The appropriate theme for the evening, “Celebrating 45 years of service to the Town of Suffield,” was in place as the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association (SVAA) resumed its Annual Awards Dinner.
A surprising duo sponsored an uncommon combination when the Friends of the Farm at Hilltop and Compound Lodge 28 of the Masons got together for a July 24 convocation of classic cars and classic motorcycles.
