It occurred to us at the Observer that we didn’t know a lot about the work of a department critical to our town’s well being, so in an effort to remedy that, I sat with Chief Charles Flynn who patiently gave me facts, figures and answers to several questions about the Suffield Fire Department (SFD).
The photographer offered this picture because so many people have never seen this unusual creature.
After having the fortune of working for this great community for 15 years, I have taken the position of CEO of a statewide nonprofit called the Connecticut Main Street Center which works to have thriving downtowns in communities across the state.
Congratulations to Suffield resident Barry Armata, who is one of the 13 newly appointed Connecticut Superior Court Judges.

On Tuesday, September 12, U.S. Navy Electronics Technician 2nd Class Dustin Louis Doyon was laid to rest in his hometown of Suffield.
Suffield is lucky to have many youth that make Suffield a nicer place to live.

The sea lions, pelicans, iguanas, sea turtles, giant tortoises, and many other creatures on the Galapagos Islands live in peace together with “most” human beings.

Recognizing that many residents of the South Pond region were interested in what would be happening to Lake Road, First Selectman Melissa Mack invited the proprietors of Lake Road Materials to attend a public meeting and describe their plans.
