It seemed impossible that such a grand exhibition as Suffield’s Halloween Spooktacular could be produced in less than a month of planning. But there it was, and well over 1,000 cars loaded with awestruck kids came to enjoy the free event.
Suffield’s first experience with the “Field of Flags” concept was assembled on a breezy, beautiful Saturday morning of the 350th celebration weekend, October 10, with great results.
Enthusiastic celebrators gathered in the Suffield High School parking lot on a lovely fall afternoon, Sunday, October 11, for an anniversary car parade.
Traffic jams in Suffield Center plagued motorists at the end of September and early October as lane changes were enforced to allow a construction crew to do its work. It was an impressive operation at the Remington Street Bridge project the first week of September.
