Suffield on the Green is seen as the unofficial end of the summer event. It provides Suffield residents with a fun time to get to know their community. For those of you new to town, it’s a great way to meet new people and learn more about Suffield while having a fun time. Saturday

The event always takes place on the Town Greens in the center of town the weekend after Labor Day. This year it is Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hosted by the Friends of Suffield, the annual event features booths by local businesses and organizations like Scouts, religious groups, emergency services and more.

The Suffield Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, October 2, at 1:00 pm at the King House Museum, 232 South Main Street, Suffield.

Troop 260 Assistant Scoutmaster Art Sikes, Jr., offers a traditional left-handed handshake to his grandson, Sam Sikes, this year’s winner of the troop’s Arthur Sikes, Sr., Summer Adventure Award.
Her vision is to make the group visible and responsive to the needs of the Suffield community while creating a diverse, hard-working and fun group.
In October 2016, the Polish Heritage Society presented a unique music program that combined the history of the Polish immigrant movement into Suffield with the development of the folk songs from their native land.
Enfield Loaves and Fishes (soup kitchen) is in need of volunteers to help us, every day Monday through Friday. We are open from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m.
On July 20, members and family members in partnership with the K-9 Olympics held a CT CHIP (Connecticut Child Identification Program) event. Every year the Corrections department of Connecticut holds a K-9 Olympics competition. State Police, local police and correction departments from all over New England travel to the corrections facility in Enfield for this importatnt event. This year must have been one of the hottest on record; the heat index was over 100 degrees. That did not stop the participants, dogs and trainers, from doing their best.
