McAlister Bricks ‘Repointed’

In the beginning of the brick repair project at McAlister Intermediate School this summer, most of the work was around back, not noticeable to those passing by. A crew of brick-masons from Armani Restoration, a Middletown company, has been busy since late in June, starting with the task of chipping out eroded mortar and loose bricks.

Sustainability at Suffield Academy

The campus at Suffield Academy is a well-maintained historic site on our Main Street, so it is no surprise to learn that behind the scenes the school has been working steadily for many years to improve its use of natural resources, reduce its carbon footprint, and thus become more environmentally friendly.

Superintendent’s Update

It is with great anticipation that I write this article as we prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Suffield for its continued investment in the education and welfare of our children.

A Graduation to Remember

Every year, in most school districts, there is a day that is given to celebrating the 13 year journey of learning and academic achievement with an age old rite of passage—graduation. Graduation in Suffield has always been about graduates marching out onto the athletic field at the high school to Pomp and Circumstance in white and blue caps and gowns.
