Members of Suffield Woman’s Club (SWC) met in November to continue with their ongoing project of creating fleece fabric blankets for children in need. The process of hand-tying the knots involved several members working around the edge of the blanket until it is complete. Fun and laughter greatly outweighed the knot-tying skills and speed that members brought to the table! SWC’s December meeting is the annual Holiday Luncheon to be held at Skyline Restaurant in Windsor Locks on December 13.

Mr. Marshaus’s design philosophy is to “never do the same thing twice.” He gets his inspiration from items in his own home and garden, supplementing with purchased flowers and greens when needed. He credits his love of all things gardening to his upbringing on an Ohio farm, where the family had seven greenhouses. Mr. Marshaus holds a Master’s degree in fine arts from Wesleyan University.
