The John Sullivan & Son Tobacco Farm was started by my grandfather, John L. Sullivan.
SFES is dipping its toe into the fundraising water by breaking out some fun with a cornhole tournament which will benefit the Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools (SFES) grant program.

The public is invited to a hybrid meeting on Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Suffield Senior Center, 145 Bridge Street, when American Studies students from Suffield Academy will present their discoveries about their public history projects regarding Oliver Phelps and Titus Kent, at a meeting of the Suffield Historical Society.
As the weather becomes nicer and more of us move outside to enjoy it, children on bicycles are one of the hazards drivers need to be aware of. According to Stanford Children’s Health website about 100 children are killed and 54,000 are injured each year as a result of bicycle related accidents. It’s imperative that automobile drivers are aware of children, especially in low traffic areas like housing developments, but also that the children themselves are observing safe riding practices.
The West Suffield Village Improvement Association will hold its annual tag sale on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Academy Hall (1499 Mountain Road). Donations may be dropped off on the mornings of Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., no clothing please. All proceeds are used to maintain our historic schoolhouse. The Hall will be open for rentals beginning April 1. Think of us when planning a family party, reception or wedding.
