Suffield Historical Society September Events

The program will be held in the Common Room at the 2nd Baptist Church, 100 Main Street, Suffield. Wednesday, September 20: 7 p.m. In-person and zoom. Book Talk: Architect and author Alain Munkittrick will present his new book Historic Houses of the Connecticut River Valley (Arcadia Publishing, 2023) which includes historic houses in Suffield. Following the presentation, guests will be able to purchase a signed copy of his book. Who was Alexander King?

Alexander King (1737-1802) was the great grandson of James King, an original proprietor, commonly known as first settler who arrived in Suffield in 1682.

FOFAH Announces State Grant Award

After several months of waiting for an answer, FOFAH was notified of the award of $330,000 to transform the 1606 Mapleton Ave property to the Hilltop Farm Welcome and Interpretive Center.
